Had to pick between keeping my viral dog account or deleting it for good

Back in 2020 my golden retriever Rocky had a video hit 3 million views on TikTok. Brands were sending me free treats and leashes left and right for about 6 months. Then the algorithm shifted and my views dropped to like 200 a post. I had to decide between clinging to the old fame or just shutting it down and moving on. I deleted the account last March and honestly watching those sponsored collab emails go silent was weirder than I expected. Has anyone else had to walk away from a side gig that peaked too fast?

Honestly do people need to turn every minor career shift into a full blown identity crisis? You deleted a dog account, not renounced your citizenship. The whole "watching emails go silent hit different" thing feels like you're manufacturing depth where there's just normal life changes.

Used to think I'd ride the wave forever. This post changed my mind.

Come on man, it's not that deep. People ride the wave their whole lives and do just fine. The whole "woke up one day and realized" thing feels a bit dramatic. Maybe you just had a bad month or saw one too many YouTube videos. Not every phase of life needs to be some huge life changing moment. You can still have fun without acting like it's a spiritual crisis.
