Look at the bigger picture those numbers paint. A huge view count means your work reached people, even if the money did not follow. That reach can lead to real chances, like teaching jobs or book deals, down the road. The hype built an audience you can talk to directly now. Calling it a total lie ignores all the doors that first opened.
