I ran into that guy from the 'distracted boyfriend' meme at a gas station in Tempe last year.

That meme is from like 2017, so that's a pretty wild claim. How could you even be sure it was the same guy after all this time? People see lookalikes all the time, especially for some random stock photo model. Tempe is a big place, what are the actual odds? It just sounds like someone wanting a story more than anything real.

@fiona_carr26 I actually just read an article about how some people have what they call "super recognizers" - their brains are legit wired to remember faces way better than normal people. It's a real thing, not just a story. So your cousin might actually have that ability. But even then, calling out a specific guy from a 2017 meme at a random Tempe bar still feels like a stretch. Maybe it's possible, but the odds have to be astronomical. Just feels like people want the fun story more than the boring truth sometimes.

Nah, I get being skeptical but some people have a real eye for faces. My cousin can spot someone from a photo years later, it's weird. Could be a coincidence, but maybe not?

Fiona's cousin isn't the only one. My aunt does the same thing. She saw a guy from a cereal commercial at the airport and was positive it was him. She went up and asked, and it actually was the actor. Some brains are just wired for faces in a crazy way. It makes the story way more possible.
