Just hit 50 subscribers on my retro tech channel

I started a YouTube channel about fixing old iPods and flip phones back in January. After 4 months of posting every weekend, I finally cracked 50 subscribers last night. A guy in Portland left a comment saying my video helped him fix his iPod Classic 5th gen. Has anyone else seen slow but steady growth on their niche projects?

Oh wait 50 subscribers in 4 months for a retro tech channel? That's actually solid honestly. Idk if you realize but old iPod content is like a super specific sub-niche so even getting that many people to find you is pretty impressive. The fact that someone actually used your video to fix their iPod too is wild, that must feel way better than just getting views.

Doesn't it seem like the most useful stuff online is always made by people just figuring it out as they go? That's kinda how everything works in real life too, the people who actually help are usually the ones who just started messing with something.

Right, because nothing says "I know what I'm doing" like accidentally becoming the world's leading iPod repair expert through sheer trial and error. That's the internet's real secret, everyone's just faking it until they accidentally fix something and then someone calls them a legend. At this point I'm convinced all the best tutorials come from people who were so frustrated they just filmed themselves throwing spaghetti at the wall until something stuck.
