PSA: A commenter told me my viral thrift flip account was 'too polished' and I lost 40k followers
Back in 2022 my thrift flip videos blew up and I hit 85k followers. Then a comment on one of my posts said my stuff looked 'like a Target ad, not a real person's closet.' I ignored it for a month, kept polishing, and watched my views drop to about 900 per video. So I switched to filming on my phone with messy lighting and one take. Still not totally sure that was the fix or if the trend just died out. Did a random comment ever make you change how you post?
