Ran into a girl at a gas station who asked me to take a photo of her with my viral meme shirt

She said 'oh my god I love that, my friend posted that exact picture last year and now she has 80k followers,' and I just stood there thinking about how the internet fame cycle literally ate her friend alive in 4 months, has anyone else had someone treat your old hyper-fixation like it's still hot?

Used to roll my eyes at this stuff, but then my old meme got reposted and I totally get it now.

Same here, @scott.olivia. Used to think people were overreacting about reposts. Then someone took my dumb "bathroom selfie from 2019" and made it go viral on some meme page. Felt weird at first, then annoying when they didn't credit. Now I'm the one getting mad about it.
