Remember that guy who went viral for the 'I'm just a guy' song?
I saw him playing at a tiny bar in Columbus last week... maybe 20 people there. He did the song, but then played a whole set of new stuff he wrote after the hype died. It was actually really good, just quiet and honest. Felt like watching someone figure out who they are after the internet moved on. Anyone else run into a viral person from years ago just... doing their thing now?

Isn't that how most real growth happens, quietly?

My upstairs neighbor's growth sounds like a bowling league practicing, lmao.

Tell that to my neighbor's bamboo plant. That thing announced its growth with a crack that sounded like a gunshot at 3 AM last week. I mean, real subtle.

Wait, only 20 people?! That's wild, I figured he'd at least be packing small clubs still. The internet really just picked him up and put him down like a toy. But honestly hearing he played new, quieter stuff sounds way more interesting than the one-hit wonder loop. It takes guts to keep making music when the spotlight moves on, most people would just give up. I bet those 20 people got a better show than any sold out arena crowd, something real and raw. That's the kind of growth that actually sticks, not the viral flash in the pan stuff.
