Remember when everyone was making those 'day in my life' vlogs?
Back in 2021, I tried to copy them exactly, filming every coffee run and work block. I spent like 2 hours a day just editing. Now I just post a single photo with a caption maybe once a week. The hype died, and honestly, keeping up was exhausting. Did anyone else just give up on that whole trend?

Yeah, the "keeping up was exhausting" part hits home. I burned out trying to edit those long clips too. It's way better to just share when you actually have something to post.

What kind of editing software were you using? I remember trying to color grade a ten minute video once and it took me an entire weekend, just killed the fun of it completely.

Ugh, totally. I read this article about how those super-polished vlogs actually made a lot of people feel worse, both watching and making them. It's like you said, @jake747, it just becomes a chore. The whole point was to share your life, but then you're spending all your time building a fake perfect version of it instead of living. I'm so much happier just posting a dumb picture of my dog when I feel like it.

Did any of you guys end up with a pile of unused gear though? I bought a tripod and a ring light and they've been sitting in my closet for two years now.
