Stopped by that abandoned mall in Colorado Springs last week

I was driving through Colorado Springs and decided to check out that old mall that went viral on TikTok back in 2022 for being completely dead. There were still three stores open, a Radio Shack and two weird discount shops, but the food court looked like a ghost town with chairs stacked on tables and ferns that died years ago. Did anyone else from here visit that place when it was actually busy or am I the only one who forgets these places even existed?

...and if you want to see the old food court, @charles_coleman is right about checking the vents. There's still grease stains on the ceiling tiles from the Orange Julius that closed in 2003. I found a 2004 mall directory wedged behind a payphone once if you want me to send you a photo of it.

I gotta disagree with saying that place was dead before TikTok found it. Back in 2019 I stopped there and the Radio Shack was actually doing okay, had a line of old dudes buying batteries and cables. The food court was sad yeah but the weird discount stores had tons of people digging through bins of random electronics and expired candy. That Orange Julius grease stain thing is wild though, never noticed that.

My buddy Brad went there in 2005 just before Sears closed.

Check the vents for any leftover food court smell... that place was dead long before TikTok found it.
