That barista in Portland who remembered my order after 8 months

I stopped going to this coffee shop in Portland for a while, then walked back in and the barista said my usual before I even got to the counter. She admitted she only remembered because I tipped once with a two dollar coin I had from Canada. It got me thinking about how these little moments of personal connection are what actually stick around after a place gets famous online. Has anyone else had a stranger prove that the human touch outlasts the hype?
