That guy on Reddit told me to quit my band and it was the best advice I ever got
Back in 2019 I was in this local band in Austin. We were terrible but I thought we were gonna blow up any day. Some random user told me to quit, get a real job, and stop wasting money on demo tapes. I was mad for a week but then I did it. Now I own a house and have savings. Wonder if that guy knows he saved me from being broke at 40.

Well that's not really how savings accounts work...

Oh man yeah that six withdrawals thing is real! I got hit with that fee last year and was so pissed because I had no idea it was even a rule for my account. My bank sent me this annoying letter about it too, like I was some kind of criminal for moving my own money around. The compound interest thing is wild too because I swear the fine print on those rates changes so often you can't even keep track of what you're actually earning. Makes you wonder if any of these accounts are really worth the hassle sometimes.

Man I just read something the other day that said most folks don't even realize savings accounts have compound interest rules that can change how much you earn. @shane_bell you might be onto something but it really depends on the bank and the kind of account you have. My buddy got hit with a fee for taking money out more than six times in a month, which I thought was only for old school passbook accounts. Have you seen that happen too?
