That influencer's "transparency" tip cost me 300 followers in a week
A fashion blogger I followed for years kept pushing this idea that you have to post daily and share every behind the scenes struggle to stay relevant. She said the algorithm rewards "raw authenticity." I started doing that in March. Within 7 days I lost 300 followers. People did not want my unedited thoughts about shipping delays and fabric swatches. They wanted the polished stuff. I went back to posting 3 times a week with actual edited content and gained most of them back in a month. Anyone else get burned by advice from someone who was already famous enough to survive the dip?
