The 'unfollow everyone' trick that actually saved my feed twice

After a big account I followed blew up and turned into pure promo spam, I unfollowed every single person in one go. Six months later, I did it again when the replacements went down the same hole. Is this a real fix or just a loop we're all stuck in?

Twice? In six months? That is seriously some dedication, I would have given up after the first nuke and just started a brand new account. They always come back as promo machines though, it's like the algorithm breeds them. You basically have to start over from scratch each time, but then you're just building a new audience that might do the same thing later. The whole thing feels like a hamster wheel, but I guess hitting the reset button beats doomscrolling through ads all day.

Man, @angela_morgan really makes it sound like a full-time job, but it's just social media. If the account gets nuked, so what? You lose some followers, but the ones who actually cared will find you again. The whole hamster wheel thing only matters if you're treating this like a career instead of a way to kill time between meetings.
