TIL the $9 clip on light I bought in 2019 still works better than the app controlled one I replaced it with
I switched to a smart bulb setup in 2021 because everyone online swore the app schedules were life changing, and after two years of firmware updates and a dead hub I went back to a plain lamp on a mechanical timer. The app never once loaded faster than me just flipping a switch. Has anyone else gone backwards on home tech and felt relieved instead of behind?
