Was totally against paid ads until I saw the numbers from a local bakery
I used to think running Facebook ads was just throwing money away for small businesses. But my buddy who owns a bakery in Portland showed me his July numbers and I changed my mind completely. He spent $150 on a simple ad targeting people within 3 miles of his shop. His sales jumped almost 40% that month and he had people walking in saying they saw the ad. I sat with him at his kitchen table on a Tuesday night and watched the dashboard update in real time. It was wild seeing the return on investment happen so fast. I still think a lot of internet hype around paid ads is overblown, but the data from a real business convinced me. Has anyone else had their mind changed by seeing actual results from a small local shop?

What was in the ad that got people to actually walk in?

Was it the free coffee or something specific about the price?

Free coffee? That's insane. People will walk through fire for a free cup of joe. Must have cost them a fortune but clearly worked.
