Watched a viral dance trend get milked for months vs a one-off funny clip that faded fast
I followed this dance challenge on TikTok that went big last year. People kept remixing it, brands jumped on it, everyone tried to squeeze every last view out of it for like 6 months straight. Then I saw this random video of a guy tripping over his own cat - it got millions of views in a week, then nobody talked about it again. The dance trend felt forced after a while, like everyone was trying way too hard to keep it alive. The cat trip thing just had its moment and moved on. Which approach do you think actually sticks better with people in the long run?

Doubt it matters much either way honestly. Most internet stuff just fades whether it's a slow burn or a flash in the pan. People will forget both in like a year.

Funny you say that, but I had a little side project I threw together in a weekend a few years back. It was a dumb meme site that got some traction, then nothing, then totally quiet for like 8 months. Out of nowhere someone dug it up, it hit Reddit, and I was getting a few hundred visitors a day for like two years after that. So sometimes the slow ones stick around longer than the stuff that blows up overnight. You never really know what's gonna have legs.
