Had a lightbulb moment about AI art while hanging a shelf at work

I spent 20 minutes trying to center a shelf bracket, measuring twice, third time not so lucky, and it hit me. That same frustration is like when a generator spits out a picture that looks almost perfect but the hands are all wrong. Has anyone else felt like AI art shortcuts the learning curve that makes us appreciate the craft more?

Oh man, that shelf thing is way too real. So do you think the shortcut is actually bad, or does it just feel cheap because we had to learn the hard way?

Hang on, wait. You're saying that shortcut is actually good? Man, that completely flips what I thought. @young.thomas said something similar the other day and I just assumed they were being generous (or just tired of arguing). But here's the thing - maybe the real problem is that we all feel some kind of dumb when we realize we could've saved ourselves months of frustration. The shortcut isn't bad, it's just that our pride gets in the way of admitting we'd rather do it the hard way than ask for help.

Shortcuts the learning curve" - yeah, I used to disagree but you're right.

Heard a buddy spent months struggling then finally said the same thing after one good tip.
