My art got used to train a model and I found out from a friend at a coffee shop
I sell prints at a small market in Portland every other Saturday, mostly ink drawings of bridges and birds. Two Sundays ago a regular customer showed me a gallery site where my style was clearly copied, like 40 pieces, all from one AI tool. Turns out a startup scraped my old DeviantArt page from 2016 without ever asking me, and I never got a cent or a heads up. I emailed them and got a form reply saying it was "publicly available content." I make maybe $300 a month on art, so this isn't some big business thing, it just feels gross. Has anyone here tried getting their work pulled from a training set, and did it go anywhere?
