Noticed a huge shift in my Instagram feed after I started blocking every AI art account I saw for two weeks straight

I used to see 10+ obviously AI generated pieces a day (you know, the ones with weird hands and that glossy sheen), and now after 14 days of aggressively hitting block, it's dropped to maybe one every couple days, so has anyone else tried just mass blocking instead of reporting and seen a real difference in their algorithm?

Blocked around 50 ai accounts in the first week on my feed and yeah the difference was night and day. I used to get those fake "digital paintings" with 30,000 likes that looked like they were made by a robot who only knows five brush strokes. Now my explore page is back to real photographers and actual artists doing traditional stuff. The algorithm definitely learns faster when you hit block vs report because it gets that you just don't want to see that content ever again. Report feels like you're complaining about a rule violation but block tells Instagram "I hate this specific type of thing.

Blocking really is the way to go with this stuff... I had the same experience on my feed, it was getting so flooded with those shiny, soulless AI portraits and landscapes that all blurred together after a while. Hitting block on them felt a lot more effective than just reporting, like I was actually training the algorithm myself. It's a bummer that we have to do all this work just to see real human creativity again, you know? But I'm glad your feed is finally showing you actual photographers and traditional artists, that must feel like a huge relief.

I dunno, report feels like fighting back. Block is just hiding.
