Rant: Used an AI art generator to make a logo for my band and got called out immediately
I run a small punk band out of Denver and thought I'd save $200 by using an AI tool to whip up our album cover. The thing pumped out this cool skull with neon fire, but my buddy who does graphic design spotted it in two seconds. Said the textures looked 'soupy' and the fingers on the skull had six digits. I ended up paying him $150 to fix it anyway, plus he gave me a earful about ripping off real artists. I learned that AI art might look okay from a distance, but anyone with trained eyes can see it's hollow. My question is, how do you guys balance saving money with not stepping on actual artists' toes? Has anyone else had a cheap AI project blow up in their face like this?

So you paid $150 to a buddy anyway, what's stopping you from just paying him from the start next time?

Bruh it's $150 not $1,500. People acting like he lost his whole life savings or something.
