A client's new panel failed on its first cold night

I installed a brand new Vista 20P in a house in Duluth last month, and the keypad went completely dead when the temperature hit 15 degrees. The manual says it's rated for it, but the display just blanked out. I had to go back and swap it for a different model from my truck. Has anyone else had a specific panel just not handle the cold like it should?

Had the same exact thing happen with a Vista 15P last winter. The display just went black when it got really cold, even though the specs said it should work. I keep a spare Honeywell keypad in my truck now just for that reason. @carter.mila must have gotten a really good batch, because mine definitely did not hold up. It's frustrating when the gear doesn't work like the book says it will.

Nah, that's wild. My Vista 20Ps have been solid through way colder nights up here.

Honestly, is a frozen keypad really that big of a deal? Like you can still arm and disarm by the main panel, right? Sounds like a minor inconvenience more than anything catastrophic.

My buddy's Vista froze solid last week, @carter.mila.
