A failed drill test changed my whole take on cellular backups

Posted a demo for a client in Phoenix last Friday. Showed the panel dialing out, but the backup failed because the SIM had zero signal. Swapped in a dual-carrier unit on the spot, cost me $140 extra, but that test caught a dead zone we'd never have found otherwise. Anyone else run live failover drills before handing over the keys?

So did that dead zone show up because the tower map said coverage was fine, or did you already suspect something was off with that site? I ask because most people I know only test the panel itself, not the actual carrier path, so they never catch that kind of gap until it matters way more. That $140 probably saved you a much bigger headache down the road, but I'm curious if you've made live failover drills a standard part of your handoff checklist now.
