Am I the only one who realized alarm sensors work better after repainting the living room?
Fresh paint lets you see where sensors blend best.

Actually that makes zero sense. Paint color has nothing to do with how a sensor works. Those things send out beams or detect motion, they don't care if you see them or not. It might look nicer but the function is exactly the same. You just tricked your own brain because you paid more attention to it after doing a project. The tech inside doesn't get an upgrade from a coat of paint.

Tbh, you're overthinking a simple coat of paint on a sensor.

Seriously, though, it's all in your head. When you repaint, you're more likely to check the sensor spots and maybe even clean them. For example, if you had dust on the lens before, wiping it off during painting could help. But the paint itself does nothing. @jake_wells12 is right about overthinking it. I had a similar thing where I moved my couch and thought my wifi got better, but it was just less stuff blocking the signal. So yeah, you just tricked your brain.
