That Wednesday in Austin where every sensor went off at once
I was doing a routine install at a 4,000 square foot house near downtown and the homeowner's kid kept tripping the motion detectors by running through the zones. The panel was screaming false alarms every 10 minutes while I tried to wire the keypad. How do you handle customers who won't keep their kids out of the detection area during setup?

Did you try asking them to just keep the kid still for like 20 minutes while you finished the keypad, or did they just shrug it off? I've had similar situations where I had to literally pause the whole install and explain that every false alarm resets my programming sequence and wastes time. Sometimes being real blunt about the delay helps, but other times they just stare at you like you're speaking another language.

Saw a post from @richard_young80 where he had to basically stop everything and explain the false alarm reset thing - pretty smart move since it makes it real clear why you need them to chill the kid out for a few minutes.
