Wired vs wireless in a 1970s stucco house, wireless lost big time

Ran a full retrofit in a Phoenix ranch last week where the homeowner insisted on wireless sensors to avoid patching stucco, and we fought signal drops in the den and garage for two days. Swapped the kitchen and back door units to hardwired contacts and the panel stopped throwing false alarms on every passing sprinkler truck. Has anyone else found that the extra hour of fishing wire beats a week of RF headaches in older plaster builds?

Blame my own cheapness for this one. I tried to save a buck on a wireless bridge once and ended up spending a whole Saturday crawling through an attic in August, sweating like a pig, just to run one stupid wire. Stucco and plaster are basically giant RF sponges anyway, they eat signals for breakfast. Every time I think I can skip the fishing tape, the house reminds me why I carry it. Now I just tell customers the wire is the cheap therapy, the wireless is the expensive headache. My back still hates me, but at least the panel stops lying to me about intruders.
