Chose the $80 manifold gauge set over the digital one, regret it now
Started a fridge repair last Tuesday in Austin and needed to pull a vacuum, so I grabbed the cheap analog gauges from the truck instead of the $300 digital setup I've been eyeing. The readings kept bouncing around and I ended up over-evacuating for 20 minutes before I caught it. Anyone else stuck with analog gear and just dealing with the guesswork, or did you bite the bullet and switch?
Yeah I feel you on the bouncing readings, drove me nuts too. I picked up a cheap digital set on sale and honestly the difference is night and day, but it took me a while to justify the cost. If you're doing this more than once a month, just save up and switch, your patience will thank you.
