Got a $90 thermal camera for my phone to find heat leaks in fridges

Used it on a noisy dryer. Saw a bright red spot on the drum bearing. Took it apart, bearing was totally shot. Thing paid for itself in one job. Anyone else use one of these little cams for quick checks?

Check for overloaded circuits in your breaker panel (the hot ones glow). Saves a ton of guesswork.

Those hot breakers the_alice mentioned finally made me just replace the panel.
