I took flak for telling a client to wait on a dryer drum replacement

Everyone wants fast service, but the three-week wait for the proper part meant no comebacks and a happy customer.

Three weeks for a drum? I've never had a wait longer than five days, that's crazy.

Yeah, the right part is always worth the wait.

My buddy waited nearly a month for a specific washing machine motor, some off-brand thing. The factory had a shutdown, so everything was backordered. He said the customer was annoyed but way happier than if a generic part failed in six months.

Seen this with electronics too, quality over speed, @walker.emery.
