I was at a customer's place in Mesa last Tuesday, cracked the valve to swap a fill hose, and it snapped clean off at the stem, flooding their laundry room in under 90 seconds and costing me a $400 emergency plumber call, so now I always shut the main and test the valve with a bucket before I touch anything, has anyone found a brand of quarter turn valves that actually holds up?
