Bought a $200 pole pruner and it almost broke my arm
I picked up a cheap telescoping pole pruner from a hardware store in Denver last spring thinking it would save me ladder time. First big branch I tried to cut up high, the head twisted sideways and the pole buckled hard. I nearly came off the ground and the branch just hung there torn. Anyone else had trouble with those budget pole pruners or did I just get a dud?

Jump right in and imagine that torque yanking YOUR shoulder out of its socket.

Tbh maybe the pole saved him from getting launched into orbit, that sounds like a win to me.

Honestly, a dislocated shoulder beats getting launched into the street any day.

The part about the pole buckling almost made me drop my coffee. I've seen cheap tools fail but hearing it nearly pulled you airborne is a new level of bad luck.
