That poplar top landed 8 feet from my truck in Erie

We were dropping a 70 foot poplar in a tight yard, and I misread the lean, wind shifted it hard. Watching it swing sideways toward my F-250 with the chipper still hooked up, I froze for a second, then yelled and everyone bailed. No damage but I've added a rope brake on any tree with a hint of twist, anyone else had a close call that changed their rigging setup?
