Carbon dating came back on our ceramic piece and it's ancient!

We waited almost a year for the analysis. This little victory makes all the patience worth it!

Honestly you waited a year just for it to say it's old? Tbh my leftovers in the fridge get carbon dated faster than that.

Yeah, setting phone alerts for lab updates made the long wait way more bearable.

Carbon dating labs must be backed up worse than my dentist's office. I sent in a sample once and it took ages, just like waiting for a tax refund. But when you finally get that date, it's like winning a tiny lottery. My friend had a pottery shard that turned out to be from the Roman era, and he framed the report. Some things are worth the wait, even if your fridge mold evolves faster.

My own carbon dating results came back labeled "too recent to bother," @wesley268.
