Showerthought: my local museum's pottery display went from dusty to stunning with one lighting change
I volunteer at the Charleston Museum and last month they swapped out the old yellow bulbs in the Native American pottery cases. The difference is wild, you can now see the original painted designs on a 600 year old bowl that looked like a plain brown lump before. The curator told me the new lights cut UV damage by 90 percent too. Has anyone else seen a small exhibit upgrade make such a big difference in how you read an artifact?
