Can we talk about a chat I had with my plumber that flipped a switch?
He said, 'You can ask me anything, that's the whole point of my job,' and it hit me that maybe we overthink asking for help. Anyone else have a simple question they were scared to ask a pro?

What's the dumbest thing you've been afraid to ask? I once waited a week to ask my mechanic if a weird noise was bad, and it was just a loose heat shield. Felt so silly after.

My friend was too scared to ask her vet how to give her cat a pill.

Went through this exact thing with my own cat last year. I was too embarrassed to ask the vet for help, so I spent a whole weekend watching YouTube videos and trying to wrap her in a towel. It was a disaster - she squirmed, I got scratched, and the pill ended up under the couch. Finally just called the vet's office and they laughed and said it's the most common question they get. Now I just use a pill pocket treat and it takes two seconds. Honestly, vets see ten times dumber stuff every day, so there's no reason to feel silly asking about something like that. Your friend should just call or stop by - they'll probably show her a trick that makes it way easier than she thinks.
