Hit 10,000 followers and felt nothing
Been posting for 5 months on my hobby woodworking page. Hit the 10k mark last Tuesday. Thought I'd feel pumped but honestly just felt tired. Scrolled past it and went to bed. Anyone else hit a big number and just felt meh about it?

I gotta push back on this a little. That 10k mark is a real milestone, not just a number. You built something from scratch, put your work out there, and 10,000 people said "yeah, I want more of this in my feed." That's a big deal even if it doesn't feel like it right now. Maybe the burnout is clouding the view. Take a step back for a day, don't post anything, and see if that changes how you feel about it.

The_eric is spot on here. Ten thousand people didn't just stumble there, they actively hit that button. I remember when I hit 5k on my old woodworking page and thought it was a fluke until someone at a craft fair recognized my stuff. @smith.elliot you built something real, even if the algorithm makes it feel like shouting into a void. Take that day off, I did the same thing once and came back with a post about a stupid mistake I made that ended up being my most liked thing ever.

Eric, that "10,000 people said yeah I want more of this in my feed" line really hit me. I mean, I almost choked on my coffee when I read it because it's so true but I'd totally lost sight of it. Building from scratch is hard, and honestly I think half my followers are just bots who enjoy watching me fail at flat lays. But you're right, the burnout might be making me cranky and blind to what actually happened. I'm gonna take your advice and step back for a day, maybe stare at a wall and see if that resets my brain.
