Serious question, has anyone else felt pressured to buy a premium 'Ask Anything' course?
I spent $400 on a video course promising to teach me how to get better answers online, but it was just basic stuff like 'be clear in your question' that you can find for free. What's a specific question you've asked that actually got a great, unexpected answer?

Last year I asked a forum how to fix a wobbly ceiling fan without calling an electrician. Some guy told me to check if it was just a loose canopy ring, which I'd never heard of. He was right, it was a five minute fix with a screwdriver. Honestly, those specific, weirdly detailed answers are pure gold. You can't buy that in a course, it comes from someone who's been there. Tbh most of the best stuff online is just people helping people for free.

I mean, I once asked how to stop my cat from opening cabinets and someone suggested baby locks. It worked, which just proves you can't course your way into that kind of weird, specific knowledge. Maybe I should have saved my money and just asked more questions.

Wanted to say something smart here but honestly I've gotten more life advice from random strangers on forums than any book I paid for. @reed.jana nailed it with that ceiling fan story, the weird specific stuff is where the real magic lives. Guess my wallet's happier when I just admit I don't know stuff.

Elliot's cat probably thinks the baby locks are a personal insult. That's the thing about forums, you get answers from people who already lost that fight. Sometimes the free advice is just smarter.
