That 20 minute call with my uncle made me rethink how I ask questions
My uncle called me Tuesday night about a tree removal bid he got from another company. He asked me if the price seemed fair, and I started explaining all the technical stuff about stump grinding and limb weight. Then he said, "I just want to know if I'm getting robbed, not a lesson." That hit different because I realized I do the same thing when I ask for advice online, I over-explain instead of just stating what I actually need. Has anyone else caught themselves doing this, where you ask a simple question but bury it under so much detail the answer gets lost?
