Caught the Horsehead Nebula from my driveway in Rochester after 4 nights of clouds
Monday through Thursday were solid overcast here so I just kept the rig set up and waited, and then Friday night the sky went dead clear around 9pm. I got 3 hours of usable subs on the Horsehead before the dew heater quit and fogged everything, but that little dark notch actually showed up in the stack. Does anyone else shoot from a light-polluted suburb, and if so how many hours are you stacking before the dust lanes stop looking like noise?
