PSA: check your focus before you blame the clouds, lost 3 good hours at Joshua Tree
Drove out to Joshua Tree on Saturday with my new telescope and shot Orion for 3 hours, then got home and every frame was soft because my focus ring had slipped a hair after setup. I figured it out after comparing my first test shot to frame 40, and now I tape the ring down before it gets dark. How do you all lock focus on cold nights without wrecking your rig when you tear down?
