Rain gutter failed after 2 years, found out it was installed wrong

Was cleaning leaves out of my gutters last Saturday in Decatur and noticed one section just sagging with water inside. Turns out the installer forgot to put in the proper downspout outlet and it was just dumping water against my foundation instead of draining. Anyone else had issues with new construction gutters failing way too fast?

You said it was "installed wrong" ... I'm gonna push back a little cause sometimes gutters just fail on their own even with proper install. I've had brand new seamless gutters start sagging after two years just from heavy rain and debris weight. The installer might've missed the outlet but could be that the section was undersized for your roof's runoff too.

Nah, bad install is bad install. Two years ain't the gutters fault.

Decatur had that big storm last spring where we got 4 inches in 2 hours. If the downspout was missing, that section probably took way more water weight than normal and that's why it sagged.
