Warning: a $12 gutter guard from the Ace on Ponce saved me a $400 repair

I was standing in line at the Ace Hardware on Ponce de Leon when the guy ahead of me mentioned he cleans his gutters twice a year because of all the pine needles around here. I grabbed a roll of that cheap mesh guard while I was there, and after the storm two weeks ago my gutters were clear while my neighbor's overflowed onto his foundation. Anyone else found a cheap fix that actually held up through a Georgia spring?

Pine needles are basically nature's way of messing with Atlanta homeowners. A $12 roll of mesh beats standing on a ladder scooping that junk out twice a year. Your neighbor probably spent his weekend staring at a flooded foundation while you watched TV.
