Hot take: stop sealing every gap in your house if you live near the Beltline
I used to foam and caulk every single crack around my windows and doors, felt real proud of myself too. Then a pest guy doing my neighbor's place stopped and asked why I was sealing the bottom gaps on my brick weep holes, which are there on purpose for water. I had no clue, and plugging them was pushing water into my walls while doing almost nothing for the ants. This spring I left the weep holes alone, sealed only the spots where I could see daylight or felt a draft, and my ant problem dropped way off. Anybody else had a pro point out something you were doing was actually making it worse?
