Changed my mind about synthetic gear oil after a talk with an old fleet mechanic in Bakersfield
He showed me the internals of a 2002 F-250 with 300k miles on synthetic and the bearings looked factory new, so I dumped the conventional out of my truck that same weekend.

Honestly, 300k on factory bearings is all the proof I needed to make the switch myself.
