Chose the 6 speed manual over the auto for my daily, now I keep second guessing it

Back in March I had to pick between the same car in a 6 speed manual or the 8 speed auto for my commute around Portland. I went manual because I learned on one and thought it would keep me awake better. But after a month of stop and go on I-5, my left leg is sore by Friday and I'm starting to wonder if I made the wrong call. Has anyone else switched back to auto after a few months of manual, or did you just get used to it?

Think about resale though, manuals are getting rare enough that someone will pay a premium for yours in a few years. So yeah your left leg hurts now, but future you might cash in on the misery.
