I thought locking diffs were overkill for a daily driver until a muddy hill in Vermont proved me wrong
Two winters back I was dead set against ever needing a locking rear diff in my old Tacoma, figured good tires did all the work. Then I got stuck on a fire road near Stowe with a guy running a factory locker, and he crawled right up the same rut I was spinning in. So what actually makes a locker worth the money on a truck that mostly sees pavement, or am I just overthinking it?
