Met a diesel mechanic at a rest stop who changed my mind on glow plugs

He was swapping a starter on a beat-up Ford 7.3 in the parking lot of a Love's in Nebraska. Told me he replaces glow plugs every 60k miles like clockwork, no questions asked. Anyone else ever had their mind changed by a random stranger on the road?

Exactly. That guy tried selling me an extended warranty on a shovel once. Total scam artist, runs the same playbook every time.
