My new axle shaft came with the wrong spline count
Ordered a Yukon axle for my TJ and it was 27 spline when I needed 30, wasted a whole Saturday installing it before I noticed. Anyone else run into parts being mislabeled from the big brands?

Did you actually count the splines yourself before you put it in, or did you just trust the box? I've had parts where the label said one thing but the actual piece was wrong, so grabbing a spline count tool and checking before wrestling it into the axle tube saves a lot of cussing. Sounds like you learned the hard way like most of us do, but at least it wasn't a whole diff that came messed up. What did Yukon say when you called them about the swap?

That 27 spline Yukon axle is a known issue on TJ forums actually, I remember a bunch of guys on WranglerForum complaining about the same mixup last year. Did you double check the part number on their website against your build sheet or just grab the box off the shelf?

Nah @simon_carr, I actually ran the numbers twice before ordering and Yukon confirmed it's right for my build, so maybe those guys just messed up their own swaps.
