Picked a used Snap-On box over a new Husky one and it was the right call for sure
I went with a beat up 56 inch Snap-On box that had all the drawer slides replaced for $800 instead of a brand new Husky at Home Depot for the same price, and after three months of daily use I haven't regretted it once - anyone else find used pro stuff holds up better than new budget gear?

Does the Snap-On come with a lifetime supply of bragging rights or what?

Holy cow, $800 for a 56 inch Snap-On is an absolute steal! I'm shocked you found one that clean with replaced drawer slides for that price, around here beat up ones go for twice that. I totally get what you mean about used pro gear, @emma_garcia it's not just bragging rights, the metal is way thicker and the slides just glide better than anything new at that price point. Husky boxes are fine for light use but they feel like tin foil next to a Snap-On even a scratched up one. You basically got a box that will outlast you for the same cash as a disposable one. How long did you have to search to snag that deal?

Honestly, you made the right move. The Husky boxes are okay for weekend stuff but they just don't hold up to daily abuse. I've seen the drawer slides on those cheaper boxes start sagging after a year or two of heavy use. Ngl @emma_garcia the bragging rights are a bonus but the real win is the steel gauge difference. That Snap-On will still be rolling smooth when the Husky is a pile of scrap metal. Plus you can always sell it later for what you paid or more, try that with a Husky. Just keep the slides greased and the bearings clean and you're set for decades.
