Talked to a mechanic who's been doing it 40 years and he said the biggest killer of transmissions is just low fluid
He told me people ignore that little leak for months and then wonder why their car wont move. Has anyone else found a simple check that saves them major repair bills?

Does he mean low fluid because of a leak, or low fluid because people just never check it? Both are bad but a tiny leak you can catch early with a quick glance under the car. Checking your dipstick on level ground once a month is pretty easy and can save you a huge headache later.

Little stuff always snowballs into big stuff. Catch a leak early and it's a hose clamp, ignore it and you're buying a whole new drivetrain.
