The $8 trailer light adapter that fixed my wiring nightmare
So I hooked up my buddy's utility trailer last month and the turn signals were doing this weird strobe thing. I checked every wire, chased grounds for 2 hours in his driveway in Pittsburgh, almost gave up. Then I realized the trailer was 6 pin but my truck was the 4 pin flat connector and I'd been using a cheap mismatched adapter. I grabbed this $8 inline converter that actually has the resistor built in, and suddenly everything blinked normal. Anyone else fight a trailer wiring gremlin only to find out it was the dumb little adapter all along?

Was your buddy's trailer using LED lights too? I ask because I fought the exact same strobe thing on my dad's old boat trailer and it turned out the LEDs were drawing so little power that the flasher relay thought a bulb was dead. The resistor in that little adapter probably fixed your issue, but I'm curious if you would have needed a different flasher unit if you had gone the old school route of just swapping bulbs back to incandescent.
